About us
Welcome to Cory Code Retrievers! I am Iowa's first Karen Pryor Academy graduate and I've been training dogs for almost two decades! Throughout that time I have served as a Pet Partner evaluator, shelter dog evaluator and advocate, lead service dog trainer, volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for The Blind, AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, Scout Master for Dog Scouts of America, mentor for Animal Behavior College and much more. Training, competing and breeding dogs is not just a hobby, it's a lifestyle... And thankfully, I have a husband who supports that!
I compete in obedience, rally-O, lure coursing and nosework and am currently training for hunt tests, agility, barn hunt and dock diving. As a breeder, my husband and I strive to produce an all-around Labrador that can do whatever it is your heart desires! From sports, hunting, companion and service work, our dogs have proven temperaments and biddability. All of our dogs are OFA tested for hips, elbows and eyes as well as a genetic screening for inheritable diseases.
